Angelic Schneider
I was born and raised in the Lehigh Valley and chose to raise my children in the East Penn community. My children attended Shoemaker Elementary and Eyer Middle School. My son and daughter both currently are proud Emmaus High School students.
During my career, I have had extensive training in various educational foundations. Working directly with students, parents and administrators has enabled me to collaborate with all stakeholders to make decisions that benefit every child in the school community.
I have been an educator and taught sixth grade in Parkland School District for over 20 years, and presently, I am the teacher of gifted students. Being an educator provides me with in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of a school district.
As an educator, I continue to recognize the importance of behavioral health and education. As a former Behavioral Specialist and Mobile therapist, I developed learning and behavior modification interventions for children suffering from a variety of metal illnesses.
Families often expressed their thanks as they felt that these interventions were successful in improving the students’ ability to learn while implementing long-term strategies to improve mental health.
Outside the classroom, and in East Penn School District, I was appointed by district administration to serve as a parent and educator on various committees. They include:
- A parent representative on the Facilities and Operations committee for the Emmaus High School
- A parent/and educator for the evaluation of the effectiveness/consistency of East Penn’s grading system
- An active parent volunteer, for both Eyer Connection (PTO) and active in supporting the theatre arts and chorus related events at Emmaus High School.
